Decks Built for Wisconsin Winters
We build, repair and refinish decks across Milwaukee and the surrounding suburbs, framed to handle frost heave and heavy snow load.
A quick look at the deck work we handle most.
New deck, built from the footings up to code.
Soft boards, wobbly rails and sagging frames fixed for good.
Protect the wood before another Wisconsin winter does damage.
Multiple levels, built-in seating, whatever fits your yard.
Skip the sanding and staining with low-maintenance boards.
Sturdy rails that pass inspection and won't wiggle.
We spend our days building and fixing decks for homeowners around Milwaukee, from a first deck off a new kitchen slider to a rebuild of one that's been sagging for a decade. Most people who call us have one of two problems: they want a deck that doesn't exist yet, or they've got boards cupping, a railing that wiggles, or a ledger board pulling away from the house. Either way, you're trusting us with something your kids will run across barefoot and your grill will sit on for years. That's not a small thing to hand over to a stranger.
We dig footings below Wisconsin's frost line so the deck doesn't heave every spring, and we flash the ledger board properly so water doesn't get behind it and rot the rim joist. We use structural screws and coated or stainless hardware instead of whatever's cheapest at the box store, because rust streaks and pulled fasteners are the first thing that makes a deck look old. If you're leaning toward composite because you're tired of staining every other year, we'll tell you honestly what it costs next to cedar or pressure-treated pine.
Serving Milwaukee and the towns around it.
Not on the list? Give us a call anyway. We are often working nearby.
Most of our work comes from someone telling a neighbor about us. Here is why that keeps happening.
Licensed and insured, so you're covered if something goes wrong.
We pull the permits and schedule the inspection.
We haul off the old lumber and sweep up the screws.
You get a written quote with real numbers, not a guess over the phone.
We show up when we say we will, and tell you if weather pushes things back.
The crew that frames your deck is the same crew that finishes it.
Had a board give out under the grill last spring, turned out two joists were soft underneath. They caught it before it got worse, fixed it same week out in Franklin.
Waited too long to get ours redone honestly, wood was already graying. Power washed it and it looked almost new after, we're over in Wauwatosa.
Had to reschedule twice because of rain in June but they kept us posted. The Trex boards look great, no more sanding every year.
